The Nesting Spot is a boutique in Wake Forest that allows you to connect, grow, and play with other moms and their children. They offer play groups and support classes which range from baby sign language, nursing support, postpartum support, toddler play groups, and newborn care classes. They have also hosted quite a few special events like a free Goldfish Swim date for the whole family, as well as holiday crafts parties for the kids.

I was actually impressed at the size of their space. They have the main lobby and two separate classrooms. One is set up as a quiet nursing spot for moms to retreat if needed.

According to their website, they also allow you to rent the space for parties, and I think it would be a great spot for a small gathering like a birthday party.

“Sing and Sign” Class

We actually attended a “Sing and Sign” event in the big classroom. As you can see there were quite a few people there, but it wasn’t too crowded. There were seats for the parents around the outer edge of the room, which I appreciated!

story time

It was a great class that incorporated music and sign language, as well as arts and crafts and sensory bins. We learned a lot of animal signs and had fun reading books and some parachute play! I also enjoyed that at 1.5 hours long, it was a longer class than most toddler classes we’ve been to.

The class was scheduled well in that we did story time in the first classroom, moved to the second classroom for art, free play in the lobby with sensory bins, and then back to the first classroom for bubbles and parachute play.

Check out their calendar for more fun events and classes coming up soon!

While you’re in Wake Forest, also check out Dairy Depot, The Tumble Gym, Plummer Park, Galaxy Fun Park, and the Taylor Street Splash Pad!
