Let’s be honest, Valentine’s Day looks a lot different once you become a parent! Instead of romantic nights out with your spouse, you may just cuddle up on the couch after the kids go to bed. Over the past couple years my family has turned “love day” into a family affair! We like to get out and celebrate together, and this year we are sharing a list of all of the family-friendly celebrations happening across the Triangle!

Valentine Craft Time
February 10th and 11th * 10-11am * Lake Lynn Community Center
Love is in the air! Join us for fun crafts to get us ready for Valentine’s Day. Participants will have the opportunity to work on different Valentine themed crafts during this hour-long class. Participants must be registered 3 days prior to the class date. Please note that due to current COVID restrictions we can only allow one guardian per participant to attend the program. A take home craft kit option will be available for pickup for participants not wishing to participate in person.

Valentineās Extravaganza
February 11th * 10:00-11:30 AM * Greystone Community Center
Age: 3-6 yrs. No heartbreakers at this party! Join the love-filled festivities to celebrate Valentineās Day with new and old friends in the Raleigh community. The kids will play games and make special gifts/treats for Valentineās Day. Of course, Valentineās day is also about candy, so we will indulge in some edible creations as well! Fancy Schmancy Valentine’s party at Bumble Brews

Dads, would you like to enjoy a date night with that special little girl in your life? Let us get you started with our Daddy Daughter Date Night Box. Each box will include a variety of at home activities to enjoy a special evening with each other. Registration is required and boxes are limited so go ahead and reserve yours before they are all gone. Boxes should be purchased for each daughter.

Daddy/Daughter Dance at The Playhouse

Valentine’s with Goats at Spring Haven farm
February 3rd – 14th * 10 AM – 6 PM * Spring Haven Farm
Love is in the air!! Make this Valentines Day unique and special by bringing your loved one to visit with the cutest farm animals in town!
Meet and feed all the animals like Peppa pig and Annie the Donkey! The Highland cows Wilbur and Orville will be around too – theyāre always happy to accept a head scratch. Watch the baby goats run & even play alongside them. There will be lots of snuggling time available for all. Romantic Photo spots will be all over the farm, giving you the perfect photo opportunity. They’ll also be serving snacks, hot cocoa and other beverages for your enjoyment. In the Concession barn you can guess how many Sweetheart candies are in the Candy Jar. If you guess the closest – youāll win 2 Free admittance tickets for future use!! The Craft station will be run by a local artist whoās eager to help all aspiring artists with a rotation of magical farm crafts and fun creations. Sheāll have bird houses for sale that youāll be able to build and design as well as pots to paint to get ready for your Springtime plants.
You have the choice to schedule your arrival time between 10:00am and 4:00pm Wednesday – Sunday. Each hour has a limited number of tickets available. Once on the farm you can stay as long as you like. The farm is open until 6:00pm. The Farm is all set up to allow for social distancing and there are plenty of hand sanitizer stations and hand washing areas.
