There’s a new play cafe in town! Bumble Brews was set to have their grand opening earlier this year, but the pandemic delayed everything until September. The good news is that they are now ready to welcome you for indoor play and happy hour! This would be a great space to facilitate virtual learning with your older kids while their younger siblings get a change of scenery! Or working parents can actually get some work done while their kids burn energy in the indoor play space! Visit during happy hour for drinks with your parent friends while the kids play! The possibilities are endless!

Indoor Play Space

The play space reminds me a lot of PlayFunParty since it has a lot of the same toys and equipment. But Bumble Brews also offers food and drinks like at Little Doodles, except add alcohol! It’s a much larger space than both other play cafes, so there’s plenty of room to spread out and have fun! As a parent I enjoyed that there was a separate adult seating area from the play room, although I still spent a lot of time in the play area with the kids anyway.

I spoke to the owner and they have plans to add more toys and a dress up station, but with the COVID-19 pandemic they thought it might be best to hold on off on that for right now. My kids enjoyed the climbing equipment the most, such as the slides, rollers, and jungle jumparoo.

While I marveled over the blocks with the periodic table of elements printed on them, my kids enjoyed some good old-fashioned tower building. The movable foam blocks were also a big hit since they looked like logs and the kids pretended they were camping.

Open Play

The play space was extremely clean and welcoming. Socks must be worn by all guests and there are cubbies at the entrance for your shoes and other belongings. Price is currently $8 per child, and infants and adults are free. During the pandemic you must register your 90 minute play time in advance and they are only allowing 10 people in the space at a time. Learn more about open play here.

Cafe Menu

The highlight for some people will be the cafe that serves specialty coffee, local craft beer, and wine. Since they are open until 6pm, stop by during happy hour for drinks with your parent friends while the kids play! It’s a great place to unwind after a long workday, or maybe even let the kids play during your workday so you can finally get some work done!

There are prepackaged snacks available for purchase at a reasonable price, such as goldfish and popcorn. There’s a great seating area to enjoy your snacks, and don’t forget to check out the games and puzzles stashed in the corner!

Events and Parties

Bumble Brews also has two party rooms in the back available for events. They have pretty reasonable party packages that give you use of a party room for 1.5 hours and you are allowed to bring in outside food and drink.

These rooms are also where they host their special ticketed events. Last week they had a meet and greet with Ariel and coming up they have Teddy Bear Mobile visiting so you can make your own bears! The owner has lots of great ideas planned, so keep an eye out on their calendar for details!

What do you think? Will you be adding this to your list of indoor play spaces to visit during the winter months?
