Like other moms in my circle, I seem to find clothing myself quite challenging.

I’ve dabbled in Golden Tote and Stitch Fix, both with some success. But neither option fits my everyday needs.

Enter the  Just my style app- the ultimate window shopping experience.

I recently went out of town, just me – and I was reminded how much I enjoy window shopping. However with 2 kids window shopping is mostly a thing of the past.

Until now. Just my style is the perfect virtual window shopping experience.

I’m going to walk you through how to use the app and what I love about it.

I may age myself a bit admitting that I don’t know much about Tinder. But I do know you swipe right if like, left if you don’t… the Just my style setup is the same. Except you end up with an awesome new pair of shoes instead of an awkward first date.

I’ll take the shoes, please. My dating days are thankfully over.

So, first decide what you would like to window shop from a variety of clothing and shoe options, this is just a few:

I know I need short sleeve summer tops. Just a few staple items I can buy here and there. So I tap on short sleeve shirts. I either like or dislike them. The app gets smarter. Starts sending me more and more things I like and less of the things I don’t like. The app learns your style. You are only given a pic of the item, no details on the rating page. It’s window shopping.  You can then go to the history tab and it gives you sorting options.

For example, the kids needed swim suits so I knew I was going to be shopping at Target.com because their cat and jack line is totally adorable. But that’s another blog. I could also use a top or two for summer and I’ve been window shopping using the Just my style app a fair amount, so I log in. I go to the history tab and sort shirts I like, then sort by store for Target.

As you can see, you can sort by price, item and/or store. You can look at items you didn’t like as well. There is a direct link on each product to purchase. You can also share something you love on social media.

So, yes. I could have just searched the Target website for a couple of shirts. But target.com doesn’t have machine learning so it doesn’t work for me unless I know exactly what I am looking for. Usually I don’t, I only know what I am NOT looking for. So the Just My Style app lets me dislike those items and gives me more items I do like.

You can also create lists. I don’t use this feature as often, but I can see where it would be helpful. Especially to brains that are more organized than my own:

The app has a variety of stores and price points, I just use Target as an example. Other stores are Amazon, Nordstrom, Loft, Old Navy, ASOS and shopbop to name a few.

Here are some of my high end saves:

Since the app is based on your style when you window shop initially, you might get a $9 target tee or a $2000 skirt. The Nordstrom rack skirt went on sale, its only $700 now 🙂

The app itself is free, the creators get paid if you click through and purchase an item through the app. So take a moment to download it and check it out. Hopefully you will love it as much as I do.
