**The Disney store at crabtree valley mall is closing on or by May 19, 2021**

You know that mom – the one with the screaming 2 year old in the middle of the Disney store? With big sister tugging on her shirt – “Mommy, look how beautiful Rapunzel’s hair is!!” Little brother becoming more and more upset as mom tries to reason with him…

Um, that was me.

In all fairness my 2 (almost 3!) year old is obsessed with all things Disney cars. I never have had that sort of obsession with my daughter – she loves princesses, ponies, super heroes, animals, etc. Almost anything really.

My son loves cars. And with Cars 3 in theaters, merchandise is everywhere we go. The Disney store was, of course, no exception.

So daily at 3:00 during the summer, the Disney store does a story time. The program itself is short – just one story read. But they do a good job of making it interactive and everyone gets a little booklet with a “patch” for the day. You also get a snack – pirates booty.

It’s across town for me, so it’s a long way to go for just one story. Its definitely geared more towards preschool age and up – a young toddler might not enjoy as much. But overall it’s fun and worth going to if you are nearby. We might do it again. But first a family meeting about how Mommy can’t buy all the cars.

So fair warning – the Disney store is toddlers paradise. Story time might be free but that doesn’t mean you can escape without spending money 🙂
