Here’s one for my Northeast Raleigh friends! This area is a little lacking in public playgrounds, so Wake Crossroads Church has come to the rescue!

The church has a private playground attached to their building, but they have graciously opened it to the public from dawn until dusk. They do ask that you don’t play in the park during church events, due to limited parking. They also run a preschool that uses the facilities during the day, so I’m sure their hours are limited while school is in session. But this has been a great option for my family to play a little in the evening after dinner!

This park is completely fenced in and has a nice shaded seating area for the adults. However, the rest of the park is not shaded. There’s a mulch surface on the playground, and they have a sidewalk that is perfect for all of the ride-on toys that are there available to use. My kids loved racing the tricycles and enjoyed playing in the playhouse. They opened a pretend ice cream shop and served me lots of mulch-flavored treats. 😂

One bad thing about this park is that there’s no access to a bathroom.

The only other park in this area is Horseshoe Farm Nature Preserve, but it does not have a playground. There’s also Buffaloe Road Park and Rolesville Main Street Park a little further north and south.

A big thank you to Wake Crossroads Church for offering this resource to our community! They host a few fun events throughout the year, so checkout their website for more details!
