5725 Fixit Shop Road, Wake Forest, NC

Piper Lights in Wake Forest has been a family tradition of ours even before they won the Great Christmas Light Fight back in 2016! The local Piper Family has been putting on this impressive home-grown holiday light display for more than 30 years. They create most of their own displays in their shop, and they keep adding more each year!

Tractor Train and Candy Shop (not available in 2020)

The highlight of our visit to Piper Lights has always been the candy shop and the free tractor train rides at the end of the light path. You can also usually find Santa there on a Saturday night, sitting by the outdoor fire pits ready to hear what you want for Christmas. Unfortunately, the pandemic has halted the candy sales, train rides, and Santa visits for 2020, but you can still drive through the Christmas lights and enjoy the sights! Hopefully everything will be back to normal next year!

This is a completely FREE light display, although they do take donations at the entrance to help pay the electric bill. Consider driving through and support a local family bringing holiday cheer to the community! Check their Facebook page for updates due to weather, but they are open nightly November 27, 2020 through January 1, 2021. The Christmas lights are on 7 days a week on Sunday through Thursday from 5:30-9pm, and Friday and Saturday from 5:30-10:00pm.
