In this era of drive-thru events making a comeback in our 21st century lives, some genius out there decided to bring back our 90s Jurassic park nostalgia as well! Dino Safari drive-thru adventure is coming to the NC State Fairgrounds from February 18-28th, 2021. If you have a kid who loves dinosaurs you won’t want to miss this up-close safari adventure!
About the Event
The Dino Safari looks like it is ran a lot like the It’s a Zoo Life drive-thru event this past summer. You will drive through and view the animatronic dinosaurs from the safety of your car, while zookeepers also bring some smaller dinos up to your car for a more up-close and personal experience. You will get your prehistoric passport stamped for Pangea National Park while you view over 40 giant moving dinosaurs, from the mighty T. rex of North America to the giant amphibious Spinosaurus from Africa.
You’ll also learn how plate tectonics and volcanic activity brought dinosaurs to all corners of the globe. You’ll see how dinosaurs evolved over time, where on earth they lived, and the discoveries that paleontologists have made about how they ate, moved, and behaved. Beware! Along the journey earthquakes might erupt, dinosaurs could battle each other, and your family might just have to help save a baby dinosaur! So, buckle up for the adventure of a lifetime in this completely COVID-safe experience!
Ticketing Information
The event runs February 18-28th at the NC State Fairgrounds. Event hours are 9am – 9pm on Saturdays and Sundays, 11am – 9pm on Thursdays and Fridays, and 3pm -7pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Your ticket will give you a 30 minute time slot to arrive and drive through the event.

Pandemic Policies
All staff are required to wear a face covering at all times, wash hands frequently, and sanitize surfaces. Staff will maintain a 6 foot distance from each other and guests at all times. They also ask that guests follow all local and state guidelines regarding COVID-19, including wearing face coverings when car windows and sunroofs are open.
