Romp N’ Roll is the ultimate Tot Spot that came to Raleigh about a year ago. They offer kids gym, art & music classes for kids aged 5 and under. We have attended a birthday party here, and took a free trial class to try it out! We also go to their parents night out events sometimes, since it’s a cheaper date night than a babysitter! Their daily class schedule is filled with everything from pirates and princess parties to tumble tunes and art classes!

Class Experience

One thing I absolutely love about Romp N Roll classes is that they are smart with their scheduling! I was able to drop my 3 and 4 year old off in the classroom for a princess party and then attend a tumble tunes class with my almost 2 year old. Looking at the schedule, they try to do that a lot. So you should have a parents-optional class for your older kids at the same time as a parent-participation-required class for the younger ones. You can see the full calendar here. Our 2 year old class was a good balance of free play and structured activities, and there was a theme of the day!

They started with a circle time in Rompy’s house where we sang cute little songs and discussed the theme of the day, which was dogs. Rompy then came out and all the kids got to give him a hug. Then they opened the curtain for free play and after a while called everyone back in for music time with instruments. One activity we all enjoyed was pretending to ride a horse with a circled stretchy rope. Leaning back during the “woah!” worked my little guy’s core muscles, which is super important at this age!

Kid’s Night Out Experience

Probably my most favorite offering at Romp N’ Roll is their Kid’s Night Out program! Every so often they will offer an evening drop off class so you can let the kids have fun while you go on a date, clean the house, or just relax kid free! My husband and I have utilized this program for date night many times, since it’s one of the best rates we have found.

For 3 hours your kids will have the time of their lives playing on the gym equipment, participating in fun activities and crafts, having a pizza party, and ending it all with an epic bubble dance party! I love that dinner is included so that’s one less thing I have to worry about! My kids are always begging to go back after their night of fun!

Typically, the cost for Kid’s Night Out is $30 for the first kid and $10 per sibling. Children do NOT have to be potty trained, and they take kids ages 2 to 5. However, I sent my 18 month old one time and they didn’t mind.

Birthday Party Experience

The birthday party we attended was for a 2 year old and it was a blast! They were very structured in their activities, which kept the kids entertained and engaged the whole time!

You begin the party with a circle time to explain the rules, and then Rompy is brought out for everyone to hug! After that they unleash everyone for open play on their equipment and have a lively playlist going as well. Then they regroup for an activity like an indoor snowball fight and blow up the bounce house. At the end you have a bubble dance party and then switch to the party room for cake and snacks. The kids had a lot of fun, but your time limit is pretty strict here so no hanging around after.

I highly recommend checking out Romp N Roll if you have kids under the age of 5. I love that they cater to that specific age so you know everything will be safe and age appropriate. They have monthly memberships where you can take a class every day, or you can buy a 10 class pass to use about multiple children. I just wish they had family memberships instead of per kid, but that’s probably only me since most people don’t have 3 kids under the age of 5! 😂

If you want to extend the fun for your young toddler, walk over to the Plantation Point Mini Park before or after class!
